Reports made it to the press a few days ago that producer Kiran Koneru had filed a petition against Kamal Haasan and UTV pictures for not offering him the rights of the Bollywood blockbuster A Wednesday. In fact Telugu actor Chakravarthy was said to have been signed up for an important role in the film. Kiran alleged that sold him the rights after
they held a discussion but was shocked to hear from the newspaper reports that the rights were lapped up by Kamal Haasan.
Meanwhile, Kamal seems to have started the groundwork for the remake. There are also reports flowing in the Nasser will don the role of a terrorist in the film. It may be recalled that the Nasser-Kamal combo in Kuruthipunal where the former portrayed the role of a terrorist so beautifully was well received. Wonder if the magic will work this time too. Kamal’s get up, with a trimmed down beard, at Nagesh’s funeral could mean that he is also gearing up for the remake. Besides, it’s also learnt that ‘Thalaivan Irukkiran’ will be the remake of A Wednesday.
