Wikileaks: You Can't Fix Stupid

Bradley Manning demanding equality "on the battlefield"
In his own words, 22-year-old Pvt. Bradley Manning, sitting in a base 40 miles east of Baghdad, had "unprecedented access" to classified U.S. networks "14 hours a day, seven days a week, for eight+  months." And he used it to get U.S. military and diplomatic secrets published around the world. Here's how Wikileaks got its start (h/t The Guardian via Ed Morrissey):
It was childishly easy, according to the published chatlog of a conversation Manning had with a fellow-hacker. “I would come in with music on a CD-RW labelled with something like ‘Lady Gaga’ … erase the music … then write a compressed split file. No one suspected a thing … [I] listened and lip-synched to Lady Gaga’s Telephone while exfiltrating possibly the largest data spillage in American history.” He said that he “had unprecedented access to classified networks 14 hours a day 7 days a week for 8+ months”.

Manning told his correspondent Adrian Lamo, who subsequently denounced him to the authorities: “Hillary Clinton and several thousand diplomats around the world are going to have a heart attack when they wake up one morning and find an entire repository of classified foreign policy is available, in searchable format, to the public … Everywhere there’s a US post, there’s a diplomatic scandal that will be revealed. Worldwide anarchy in CSV format … It’s beautiful, and horrifying.”
These things will happen when you entrust U.S. secrets to nervous children, particularly those with bones to pick with the U.S. military and with "society at large." Bradley Manning's anger with his nation and his nation's military centered around his desire for "transgender equality."

Last August, Marine Corps Commandant Gen. James Conway was reported to have "expressed his fear" that the effort to repeal "Don't ask, Don't tell" would "distract from the military's mission of protecting the nation." It looks like Bradley Manning was among the distracted.

Worse, far worse, and more dangerous, in my opinion, are the "distracted" leaders in America's political and military structures, who are easily led by whatever politically correct demand marches down the pike, whether it be gay marriage, Muslim extra-sensitivities, new home mortgages for credit risks, citizenship for the "undocumented," or any other feel-good "cause."

In times of danger and economic stress, reasonable people focus first on the most basic matters of survival, and later work on improving those areas on which survival does not depend.

It's time our country's leaders did the same.

Big Dan's Big News Nov 29, 2010

As you read the Wikileaks revelations, just be wary of this possibility: WIKILEAKS = AIPAC.

Israel always seems to get a pass in Wikileaks leaks. Even though USrael are twins. This could be one of those double-twists, where Israel is really trying to weaken the United States government via Wikileaks. BD: I am not making a definitive judgement here, there could be twists, double twists, and triple twists. I'm just laying it all out here for you. At this time, I don't think anyone can make a definitive judgement on any of this. I'm open to changing my mind, due to ever changing proof, evidence, or whatever makes the most sense. One thing for sure, doubt whatever the mainstream media is pushing when you make your judgement. The biggest thing I'm getting out of Wikileaks leaks is: 1. the U.S. is committing war crimes, and 2. Attack Iran. Both of which are suspicious to me. Not that the U.S. isn't committing war crimes, but why does Wikileaks always make the U.S. and only the U.S. look bad? Unless it's because of the nature of the documents Wikileaks is only able to obtain. Cui Bono: Israel...as usual.

TSA Gestapo: notice Israeli Michael Chertoff

Former Reagan official Dr. Paul Craig Roberts: "Indeed, if terrorists want to attack air travelers, they never need to board an airplane.
All they need to do is to join the throngs of passengers waiting to go through the TSA scanners and set off their bombs. The TSA has conveniently assembled the targets.

The final proof that there are no terrorists is that not a single neoconservative or government official responsible for the Bush regime’s invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan and the Obama regime’s slaughters of Pakistanis, Yemenis, and Somalians has been assassinated. None of these Americans who are responsible for lies, deceptions, and invasions that have destroyed the lives of countless numbers of Muslims have any security protection. If Muslims were capable of pulling off 9/11, they are certainly capable of assassinating Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle, Feith, Libby, Condi Rice, Kristol, Bolton, Goldberg, and scores of others during the same hour of the same day."

Decorating a Guest Room

All homes will have guests at some point and they have to be included in the interior decorating plans by dedicating a room where they can feel welcome. Most people are comfortable in their own spaces and especially their own beds so it is important to have a guest room that is a homely and as comfortable as possible for the guest to feel at home. The idea of decorating a guest room is to have it mimic the comfort of a five-star hotel as much as possible. To start with invest in a good quality, comfortable bed and mattress that will ensure a good night’s sleep for any guest.

Guest Room Essentials for Comfort

Secondly, clean bed linen will add to the coziness of the room as will extra pillows and blankets. It is always important to have extra bed and bath linen for the absolute comfort of the guests. Some guests are well taught and will change the bed linen as they leave and having the extra set will facilitate this good deed! A chair and table are a necessity as some guest like to sit and have a cup of something before they retire as they do some reading or work on their laptops. The table or chair will also be ideal to set down their suitcase when they need to get a change of clothes or other necessary items.

Privacy is important to all and especially to guests so choose window drapes that provide privacy and light control. It is also important to provide enough closet space and extra hangers in the closet even though the guest may have nothing to hang. As a rule of thumb interior decorating for guest rooms should incorporate neutral colours and artwork that are not too boring or additional pastels that liven up the room.
