PET SITTERS, ANEMIA, AND "DUE DATE"....
As we move into November, many of you who leave food and water bowls outdoors for your pets will be bringing the containers inside for the winter. This would be a good time to follow some great advice from the Center for Veterinary Medicine at the Food & Drug Administration. Here is their advice:
You may think of your dogs or cats as family members, but do you handle their food and feeding utensils the same way you handle your own? You should! You wouldn't eat off the same plate or drink out of the same glass, day after day, without washing them between meals. So it stands to reason you shouldn't neglect to wash your pet's food bowls between meals every day and the water bowl every day or two.
Dogs and cats (just like people) have bacterial microbes in their mouths and these microbes can be transferred to dishes the pet eats and drinks from. Food left in the dishes can provide the microbes with a good environment for multiplying (moisture, oxygen, and nutrients) and can produce illness in people who touch the dish, or the pet, that eats or drinks from the dish.
The same good hygiene practices that apply to handling and storing food for people also apply to food for pets. Leftovers should be stored in a closed container and refrigerated if the food is moist.
To be safe, remember to wash your hands in warm, soapy water after touching pet food and feeding dishes. And wash and dry your pet's dishes and storage containers before refilling them with new food. Both you and your pet will be safer if you do.
Last week's poll questions showed that not only are only about 10% of you including your dog in your Halloween plans, but also only 5% of you reported that any of your pets have been poisoned by any of the Top 13 poisons listed. Helpful Buckeye thinks that our readers are really trying to keep your pets out of trouble...continue your vigilance! Be sure to answer this week's poll questions in the column to the left.
Helpful Buckeye wants to remind all new readers that a comprehensive index of previous topics discussed in Questions On Dogs and Cats appears in the column to the left, under the heading of "Labels." DISEASES, AILMENTS, AND MEDICAL CONDITIONS
Anemia is something you've all heard of and most of you are aware that it has something to do with blood levels in the body. However, did you know that anemia is not a disease in itself, but rather a sign of another disease?
Anemia is defined as an absolute decrease in the red cell mass as measured by any of several lab tests. It can develop from loss, destruction, or lack of production of red blood cells (RBCs). Anemia is classified as regenerative or nonregenerative. In a regenerative anemia, the bone marrow responds appropriately to the decreased red cell mass by increasing RBC production and releasing immature RBCs (reticulocytes). In a nonregenerative anemia, the bone marrow responds inadequately to the increased need for RBCs.
Clinical Findings:
Clinical signs in anemic animals depend on the degree of anemia, the duration (acute or chronic), and the underlying cause. Acute anemia can result in shock and even death if more than a third of the blood volume is lost rapidly and not replaced. In acute blood loss, the animal usually presents with rapid heart rate (tachycardia), pale gums, weak pulses, and lowered blood pressure. The cause of the blood loss may be obvious, such as trauma. If no evidence of external bleeding is found, a source of internal blood loss must be sought, such as a ruptured tumor of the spleen, a blood clotting malfunction, a gastro-intestinal ulceration or parasites. If destruction of RBCs is present (hemolytic anemia), the patient may appear yellowish (jaundiced or icteric). Patients with chronic anemia have had time to adjust, and their clinical presentation is usually more quiet with vague signs of lethargy, weakness, and loss of appetite. These patients will have similar physical examination findings, pale gums, tachycardia, and possibly enlargement of the spleen or a new heart murmur, or both.
Diagnosis:
A complete history is an important part of the work-up of an anemic animal. Questions might include duration of clinical signs, history of exposure to toxins (eg, rodenticides, heavy metals, toxic plants), drug treatments, vaccinations, travel history, and any prior illnesses.
A blood cell test, including a platelet and a reticulocyte count, will provide information on the severity of anemia and degree of bone marrow response, and also allow for evaluation of other cell lines. A blood smear should be evaluated for abnormalities in RBC shape and structure and for RBC parasites.
A serum chemistry panel and urinalysis are also important for evaluating organ function. If gastro-intestinal blood loss is suspected, an examination of the feces for blood and parasites can be useful. X-Rays can help identify other internal disease processes, such as a penny (zinc toxicity) in the stomach of a puppy with hemolytic anemia. Bruising or bleeding may be signs of a clotting defect and indicate the need for a clotting profile test.
Bone marrow evaluation might be necessary in any animal with an unexplained, nonregenerative anemia.
Causes:
Acute blood loss can lead to shock and even death if >30-40% of blood is lost and the lowered blood volume that develops is not treated aggressively with IV fluids or compatible blood, by way of a transfusion. Gastro-intestinal parasites, such as hookworms in dogs, can lead to severe blood loss, especially in young animals.
Many infectious agents—bacterial, viral, rickettsial, and protozoal—can cause anemia, by direct damage to RBC or by direct effects on forerunners of RBCs in the bone marrow.
The anemia of chronic disease can be characterized as mild to moderate and nonregenerative. It is the most common form of anemia seen in animals. The anemia can be secondary to chronic inflammation or infection, cancer, liver disease, adrenal or thyroid disease. Treatment of the underlying disease usually results in resolution of the anemia.
Nutritional deficiency anemias develop when micronutrients needed for RBC formation are not present in adequate amounts and usually develop gradually. Starvation causes anemia by a combination of vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
Iron deficiency is the most common deficiency seen in dogs but occurs less commonly in cats. Iron deficiency is rarely nutritional in origin—it most commonly occurs secondary to blood loss.

NON-MEDICAL CONCERNS
More pet owners are opting to have pet sitters come into their homes and take care of their pets when needed. The editors at Pawnation.com have put together a list of considerations to think of when contemplating the use of a pet sitter:
When it comes to hiring a professional pet sitter are you a helicopter parent that leaves detailed pooping and walking spreadsheets? Or are you more of the hands-off type who feels perfectly comfortable letting your sitter do his or her own thing?
A well-prepared sitter can keep your pet happy and anxiety-free while you're away, greatly reducing the number of chewing, scratching, and/or bathroom accidents occurring in your home. The question is: How do you ensure that you've given your pet sitter all the necessary tools to keep your animals relaxed and healthy?
To get a little expert guidance on the subject, we've enlisted the help of Paul Mann, founder of Fetch! Pet Care. Beyond the basics like emergency contact info, your vet's phone number and a medicine and food schedule (all of which are obviously quite important), Mann encourages owners to focus a little bit on your pet's psychology when preparing for a sitter.
Spell Out The Animal's Daily Schedule: "Pets are truly creatures of habit," Mann tells Paw Nation, "They get into liking their routine, so the idea is to figure out how to maintain that routine." For example, if you take your pup for a walk every morning, ask your pet sitter to do the same. If your cat likes to chase the yarn around in the evening, tell your sitter.
Explain What Makes Your Pet Happy: "A good professional pet sitter should ask what your pet likes to do, then maybe over-satisfy them in that way," Mann explains. In fact, he recommends that you schedule an in-home consultation with the sitter so they can interview you and meet your dog, cat, bird, etc.
Make Sure Favorite Items Are Handy: When it comes to the actual items to leave for the pet sitter, Mann recommends things like "an old t-shirt, bedding, and their favorite toys to keep the familiarity there for the pet." Ideally, the pet sitter will be visiting your pet at your home, says Mann, but these items are even more important if you plan to board.
Keep Your Exit Low-Key: Mann recommends that a little exercise before you leave can help keep your pet's mind at ease. They'll be napping instead of worrying about where you are. Whatever you do, Mann cautions that you refrain from breaking into the tearful 'I'm going to miss you so much' routine. "Just exit like you usually do," Mann explains, "Dogs pick up on those things and it creates anxiety."
Find Out What Other Pet Parents Do: We asked some of Paw Nation's Facebook friends to share what they leave for their pet sitter:
• Donald MacMelville: "It's a three-page document. Location numbers, cell numbers, feeding instructions, Vet numbers and address and MapQuest, emergency contacts, walking instructions, etc. People think we are crazy."
• Pamela Grant Goldman: "When I had three dogs, I started a journal for pet sitters: I'd leave detailed info and instructions, and they'd leave entries daily on who ate what, etc. These days, a friend stays with my dog and we text at least once a day and he sends me photos of my little guy playing outside."
• Tara Anderson: "I leave feeding instructions, emergency cash, along with phone numbers. I get daily texts. My cat sitter is great. She plays with my cat and cooks her a special shrimp dinner! When I return, I get a note from my cat detailing all of the fun she has."
• Lisa Faynor Bartine: "I have a friend of the family stay over, and I leave four pages of emergency and routine info, and call every other day."
In next week's issue, Helpful Buckeye will discuss the pros and cons of using a boarding kennel for your pets.
BREED OF THE WEEK
Several of our regular readers have asked that Helpful Buckeye consider re-instating this topic into the weekly format. They all said they enjoyed learning more about the less popular breeds of dogs and cats. So, let's get back into the swing of this and begin with the Bloodhound.
As described by the AKC:
Described as a "unique looking dog in a baggy suit," the Bloodhound is one of the oldest breeds of dogs that hunt by scent. Although affectionate, they can possess shy natures, sensitive to kindness or correction by their master. Colors of the Bloodhound include black and tan, liver and tan, and red, sometimes flecked with white. The actual term "Bloodhound" refers not to what the Bloodhound trails but instead refers to its status as the "blooded hound," meaning aristocratic, since such great lengths were taken early on to keep the strain clean.
A Look Back
The Bloodhound made its appearance in Europe long before the Crusades, when the first specimens were brought from Constantinople in two strains, black and white. Established in America for over a century, it proved early on to be a tireless worker for law enforcement, being so accurate that evidence trailed by a Bloodhound has been accepted in a court of law.
Right Breed for You?
While Bloodhounds are extremely affectionate, they are take-charge dogs, so it is important to be kind, but be the undisputed boss in your household. Bloodhounds should be groomed weekly to eliminate dead hair and facilitate a routine that will help them look, feel, and smell better.
• Hound Group; AKC recognized in 1885.
• Ranging in size from 23 to 27 inches tall at the shoulder.
• Scent tracker.

The eagle has returned! Bald-headed eagles return to the Flagstaff area for the colder months and a couple of them always take up residence on the shores of Lake Elaine, which is part of Helpful Buckeye's regular bike routes. Whether sitting on the upper branches of a tall ponderosa pine or soaring above the lake, they are a beauty of nature. On my ride this past Thursday, I spotted the first of the returning eagles.

EDL supporting Wilders demo.Counter-protests.Part 2
Press release antifa!-amsterdam antifa
Press Release: EDL demonstration embarrasment, anti-fascists very satisfied with counter-protests.
Antifa! Amsterdam is positive about the course of the demonstrations and actions today in Amsterdam.
In many ways today it became crystal clear that no'one over here wants the kind of fascist street-activism as the right-wing English Defence League hopes to export to mainland Europe.
The demonstration of the EDL / DDL was an outright failure, not more than 50 protesters eventually took the trouble to show their support for Wilders. This while the organization, even after the forced relocation to a midle of nowhere spot in the western docklands, still said this week to expect up to1,000 supporters.
In the end, the meager turnout (in particular on the part of the Dutch Defence League, only a few of the protesters were Dutch) and the fierce resistance that they were confronted with should be an omen about the future prospects of their crossing of the channel.
This while simultaneously a broad range of hundreds of people and dozens of groups showed throughout the city their disapproval and anger about the coming of the racist scum to the capital.
Antifa! Amsterdam expresses support and appreciation to each and everyone who has gone out on the streets today against racism and xenophobia.
From the hundreds of protesters who protested at 1941 general strike monument, the dozens of activists that spread over the city to prevent that the EDL would still showup in the center, to the many people who decided to ignore the emergency orders from the mayor and went in direct action in the docklands.
The great variety of people who have come today in opposition is a clear signal, from young immigrants to experienced activists, from soccer fans to social organizations.
In particular, the presence of Jewish individuals and the reform movement in Iran, for whom the EDL pretends to speak, and the high turnout of football fans that the EDL consider as their natural support, show that people are not deceived by the EDL.
In summary Antifa! Amsterdam considers the day as overwhelmingly successful, and calls on everyone to keep fighting, in resistance against discrimination, hatred, fear and extreme right violence.

Benefits of Vitamin C
Vitamin C boosts Immunity
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is responsible for the production of collagen, which is a material that holds the body tissues together. Regular intake of this vitamin will ensure that cuts and bruises heal faster due to increased collagen production holding the tissues and cells together. Vitamin C is water-soluble meaning excess amounts are eliminated from the body in urine. However large amounts of vitamin C are known to cause kidney stones and stomach upsets due to acidic properties.
The absorption of Iron is significantly enhanced by Vitamin C intake making it ideal for the treatment and prevention of anemia. Vitamin C deficiency is evidenced by weak muscles and joints, black, swollen and bleeding gum (also known as scurvy), lose of teeth, tiredness and even depression. Other acceptable sources of Vitamin C apart from citrus fruits include mangoes, paw paws, strawberries, kiwifruit and tomatoes. The outer covering of ginger or is also known to contain high levels of Vitamin C. With all these health benefits, little wonder that Vitamin C is so popular.

Amsterdam-West slecht 50 mensen trok.
intolerantie in Nederland. Bij de Dokwerker spraken ondermeer
Mohammed Rabbae (Landelijk Beraad Marokkanen), Jaap Hamburger (Een

Amsterdam-West slecht 50 mensen trok.
intolerantie in Nederland. Bij de Dokwerker spraken ondermeer
Mohammed Rabbae (Landelijk Beraad Marokkanen), Jaap Hamburger (Een
Ander Joods geluid) en Lydia Rood (Schrijfster en columnist).

Leegstaand kantoor in Utrecht gekraakt (met tijdslijn)
Leegstaand kantoor in Utrecht gekraakt (met tijdslijn)
Wilhelmientjes

Health Boosting Properties of Spinach
Fruits and vegetables are important for a healthy body and one very common vegetable that is packed with goodness for the body is the spinach. It is known to be the source of many vitamins including Vitamin C, K, A, B2, B6, and minerals such as magnesium, folate, manganese, iron, potassium, phosphorus, protein, zinc, copper, selenium, niacin and omega-3 fatty acids. Spinach is a deep green leafy vegetable that can be consumed in a number of delicious ways for great health benefits including improved digestion. It is good for all age groups including weaned infants and the folate or folic acid is beneficial in early fetal development for expectant mothers.
Spinach as a Multi-Vitamin
Spinach is readily available and affordable in the market and can be grown with ease in the kitchen garden. It can be eaten raw in a salad, pureed as a sauce, boiled and even lightly cooked on its own or with other vegetables. When pureed and added to dough, it adds a unique flavour to chapatis. Spinach tends to be salty due to the minerals in it so people on a salt-free diet might have to avoid it or consume it in controlled quantities. The creator of the popular cartoon character, Popeye, must have know a thing or two about the benefits of spinach as Popeye ate a lot of spinach and got a boost of instant energy and muscles to fight his enemies.
Compared to red meat, spinach is a healthier source of iron as it packs much less harmful cholesterol making it ideal for menstruating women, growing children and adolescents. Spinach is also a heart-friendly vegetable due to its anti-oxidizing properties from the constituent Vitamin C and A. Spinach should be eaten fresh as soon as it is purchased or picked for the full benefits to be realized.

EDL supporting Wilders demonstration "Don't buy the lie.Part 1:"Our bus has no windows left" video
persbericht antifa!-a'dam over verloop EDL demo
Antifa!-Amsterdam - 30.10.2010 18:03
Persbericht: EDL demonstratie gênante afgang, anti-fascisten zeer tevreden over tegen-protest

Yemen Arrests Woman for Sending Explosives to Chicago Synagogues
Yemeni women in San'a; 25% of Yemeni girls become child brides. |
Now authorities are looking for a male "accomplice."
"Hiding" and "accomplice." Those are interesting choices of words to describe a Muslim woman who lives under Shariah servitude in a country where mere opposition to selling little girls into forced marriages brands one as an apostate, a crime punishable by death.
I wonder what Batina the Hidden (the burqa-wearing super-heroine soon to be featured in a Shariah-compliant cartoon series) will have to say about it. If she's allowed to speak.
A little something you might want to keep in mind when doing your Christmas shopping is that a series starring Batina the Hidden and 98 other Muslim super-heroes opposing such "dark forces" as a Christian king is scheduled to start soon on the kid's TV network, The Hub, formed by a 50-50 partnership between Hasbro Toys and Discovery Communications (Discovery Kids).

Zaanstreek kraakt door!
verenigde kraakgroepen zaanstreek
groetjes, verenigde kraakgroepen Zaanstreek.

Oldie but Goodie: Barney Frank(enstein) Mashes with the Monsters

Isn't it time for Barney to start reading the want ads?

Big Dan's Big News Oct 30, 2010, "U.S." Chamber of Commerce MY ASS!!!!!!!
What's the difference???
The "U.S. Chamber of Commerce is just like MoveOn.org , only they are a political action committee for REPUBLICANS! They take in BILLIONS from secret undisclosed donors, many from FOREIGN COUNTRIES, to sway elections towards Republicans. They will not disclose their secret donors, but run attack ads against Democrats with the money. They were geniuses to call themselves something that sounds like part of the government. That would be like MoveOn.org thinking of it first, and calling themselves "The U.S. Chamber of Commerce" instead of MoveOn.org!!! It's just that a Republican PAC thought of it first! WHAT IF "MOVEON.ORG" WAS CALLED "THE U.S. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE"??? Calling themselves something that sounds like a government agency should be ILLEGAL! They're as much a part of the government agency as the FED is!!! That's ANOTHER one with a purposely misleading name! The FEDERAL RESERVE is PRIVATELY OWNED!

275 Investors Demand U.S. Chamber Disclose Funds And Stop ‘Punitive Campaign’ Against Health Care Law
How The ‘US’ Chamber Uses Its Money To Pay Pundits, Manipulate Google, And Create Fake News Outlets
The US Chamber of Commerce has launched a full attack against America's civil justice system, and the attorneys and advocates who help consumers. And they are winning. Even with the unprecedented numbers of pharmaceutical and consumer product recalls, environmental disasters, and corporate misconduct in America, people still think that corporations are working to make their lives healthier and happier. Mike Papantonio talks with Linda Lipsen, the CEO of the American Association for Justice, about why we need to fight back against the Chamber and work to build a stronger civil justice system in America.
The Loaded Chamber Part I: Secret Money
"The chamber’s increasingly aggressive role — including record spending in the midterm elections that supports Republicans more than 90 percent of the time — has made it a target of critics, including a few local chamber affiliates who fear it has become too partisan and hard-nosed in its fund-raising."
So reports a headline story in the New York Times today about the Chamber of Commerce's increasingly secretive and partisan fundraising and lobbying efforts. The Chamber, once an institution that supported small and family businesses, increasingly does the bidding of a few large corporations, and in the first part of our GRITtv Digs investigation, Harry Hanbury starts to open up the Chamber's secrets for you.

The Loaded Chamber Part II: The Watchdog That Doesn't Bite
The election is getting closer, and the money keeps on flowing. Today we're bringing you part two of Harry Hanbury’s investigative series for GRITtv's new investigative series, GRITtv Digs. In part one, we looked at the Chamber of Commerce's contributions to the campaign cycle--now, we ask, who's watching the Chamber? Why does it get away with this?

The Loaded Chamber Part III: Foreign Money
In the first two parts of our investigative series, The Loaded Chamber, we met the faces behind the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, its shadowy fundraising for the election cycle, and the government entities that are supposed to be keeping an eye on it. In part three, we look at the foreign money flowing into the chamber--and the connections between that cash and the Chamber's support for outsourcing jobs. And is that foreign money going to pay for elections?

Angle cut beams: angles cut in beams like the ones below in the Twin Towers on 9/11 didn't happen by "accident": more proof the official story is false! This is how you cut the main beams so the building "walks" or "slides" all around to the inside or its own footprint in controlled demolition. Do you think these beams "magically" broke at perfect controlled demolition style angles? Notice the drip marks of melting metal coming off them, too. Controlled demolition chemicals such as thermate are used to melt/cut angles like this and scientists have found thermate in the WTC dust, which can't occur naturally without someone bringing it there:
I've been putting up newly released 9/11 videos, much clearer than the original ones on TV. Here's more as they come out:
Video 1: Battalion 7 Chief: "Battalion 7 .... Ladder 15, we've got two isolated pockets of fire. We should be able to knock it down with two lines. Radio that, 78th floor numerous 10-45 code ones."
Video 2: New NIST FOIA Release #14 Cumulus File Sorensen Clip 9. Flame rollout and audible explosion followed very loud explosive rumble before the WTC 2 South Tower collapses.
Video 3: New Footage. FOIA NIST NBC_News Dub from Jim Remberg Clip 1 Helicopter Long Shot. Blast Breaks Building and Angular Momentum Examined
Video 4: New FOIA NIST NBC-News Dub_clip2 - newsman says there were explosions
Video 5: NBC News Dub Clip6
Video 6: As The South Tower collapses in explosions you can feel a man wants to reaffirm that it was a 737 and a FBI NYPD agent coaches the news puppet thinking the mic is dead. Notice how calm the "witness" is: he calmly says it was a 737. WAAAAY to calm, don't you thing? Compare his demeanor to other eyewitnesses screaming and sounding out of breath and in shock.

The FAKED "cell phone" calls on 9/11 and the Olson "cell phone" call sham:
Video Interview: David Ray Griffin
Above link (video): A professor emeritus of Philosophy of Religion and Theology at the Clarement School of Theology in California for 30 years , David Ray Griffin has today, through his books and lectures, become better known as one of the leading voices of the "9/11 Truth Movement." Through his investigation and analysis of the fall of the Twin Towers and mysterious collapse of World Trade Centre 7, the attack on the Pentagon and the final 9/11 Commission Report, Griffin continues to raise provocative questions about the inconsistencies and contradictions of the official version of the events of September 11, 2001.

So, you think passengers called their loved ones on cell phones from the planes on 9/11? Here's one of the "cell phone" calls exposed:
"Hi, Mom, this is Mark Bingham": when you call your MOTHER, do you use your ENTIRE FULL FIRST & LAST NAME to identify yourself to your mother? I didn't think so. When was the last time YOU did that? I thought so: NEVER IN YOUR LIFE!!!
Well, I'm telling you now: yesterday's FEDEX story is it!!!
Very timely: WILK FOX "news" Jr's "liberal" host Steve Corbett starts saying he's voting for Democrat Paul Kanjorski and also starts attacking Republican Tom Marino...and he's replaced the last full week before elections by a huge pro-Republican guest host!!! Yeah, I know you might say the WILK FOX "news" Jr's trip to Ireland hosted by Steve Corbett was planned well in advance, but that's exactly the point! It couldn't have even been the week before or after the elections? I find that too coincidental that there's 52 weeks in a year, and WILK FOX "news" Jr puts on a huge pro-Republican guest host for the last full week before elections:
And speaking of Kanjorski, my friend who disrupted Bill Clinton in Nanticoke when he was campaigning for Kanjorski, made INFOWARS. Note: my friend was banned from Steve Corbett's FaceBook page:

They're as much a part of the government agency as the FED is!!! That's ANOTHER one with a purposely misleading name! The FEDERAL RESERVE is PRIVATELY OWNED!

Big Dan Oct 23: "When the Juan Williams story dies down (and the Juan Williams story cropped up only because The Ground Zero Mosque story died down), I will point out for you the next story planted in the mainstream news to keep the official myth alive that "Muslims did 9/11", and distract you from researching the fact that the U.S. government and Israeli Mossad did 9/11 and blamed Muslims. Over half the world who heard of 9/11, know the truth but yet aren't allowed to talk about it in the mainstream media"

Modern medicine and Alternative medicine
Modern medicine treats illness using science and technology; it focuses narrowly how the doctor can solve the problem when the patient is ill. Alternative medicine, in a radically different approach, emphasis's the importance of staying healthy and requires individuals to take more responsibility for their own health. Traditional medical wisdom (for example, ayurveda in India) linked health to a state of harmony and disease to a state of imbalance, and focused on well-being and remaining well, and not on just 'fixing' the problem after one fell ill!

A Family Cookout
One great way to enjoy the lovely lawn and the patio or gazebo you incorporated in your interior decorating is having a family cook out. It will do wonders to the family bonding and is a wonderful way of enjoying the good weather and using the attractive garden furniture. A child’s birthday is a great opportunity for a family cookout where friends and family are invited for a superb day of eating, drinking and making merry. The menu for such an event is most important and must include all the age groups present. A barbeque does this perfectly as well as having a different meal like a casserole ready for the younger age group who might not be able to wait for the grilled stuff.
Planning a Cookout Menu
It is important to shop as a family and well in advance for such an occasion to ensure that all necessities are covered. Enough napkins and cutlery is essential for a smooth running event without having to dash to the store. Also depending on the number of guests and their preferred drink, stock up on a variety juices and soft drinks and have them chilled well before the guests arrive. Different snacks like crisps and dips will keep the guests busy before the grilled stuff is ready.
Wet weather can spring up on a sunny day unannounced so to be on the safe side, pitch tents over garden furniture, which will be practical in case the sun is scorching too. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, sausages, corn on the cob and a variety of fruits and vegetables are favourite or all age groups so be sure to include these in the menu. Desserts like ice cream and cake are always a welcome treat. Plan well and enjoy a day with family and friends in your garden.
