http://www.hakkenindewijk.nl Wijkcentra Sluiten? Als het aan het stadsdeelbestuur Zuid ligt kan Wijkcentrum Ceintuur per 2012 haar deuren sluiten. Dat voornemen is vastgelegd in een conceptnota 'beleidskader Sociaal Domein'. Eind november neemt het stadsdeel een besluit. U kunt op deze site uw reactie geven en steun betuigen aan het wijkcentrum. Op deze site leest u ook de laatste ontwikkelingen. Inmiddels is daar ook de Nota van Beantwoording Sociaal Domein n.a.v. de ingediende zienswijzen, die men 2 november in de Commissie Samenleven gaat behandelen. Veel mensen die zelf een zienswijze hebben ingediend, hebben de nota nog niet gehad. Maar de nota staat ook op internet, de nota en bijlages kun je hier vinden.
Kom ook naar de stadsdeelraad! Wilt u steun betuigen bij één van de raadsvergaderingen? Dat kan op 2 november (Commissie Samenleven) en 24 november (Raadsvergadering). Beide vergaderingen vinden plaats op de President Kennedylaan 923 en starten om 20.00.
Voor de vergadering van 3 november (commissie Wonen) wordt door de huurdersverenigingen opgeroepen in te spreken voor behoud van de Wijksteunpunten Wonen. Als u wilt inspreken kunt u zich voor deze vergadering aanmelden via de griffie: 020-2521342.
Waarom het wijkcentrum behouden? In dit hele grote stadsdeel Zuid staat het bestuur meer op afstand. Juist daarom is het van groot belang is dat er sterke buurtstructuren zijn. Ruimte waar bewoners zich kunnen organiseren en waar ze onafhankelijke ondersteuning kunnen krijgen is hierbij noodzakelijk. Wijkcentrum Ceintuur doet dat. Zij kan en wil deze plek zijn in de Pijp.
We vragen u te reageren naar het stadsdeel. Vertel wat u van de plannen denkt en waarom u het wijkcentrum belangrijk vindt. We vragen u deze oproep ook door te sturen naar uw vrienden en bekenden.
from http://squat.net Amsterdam: Netherlands after the Squatting Ban.On the first of October, squatting in the Netherlands has been criminalised. The major cities, though decided not to execute this law. When the new mayor of Amsterdam Eberhard van der Laan announced a week ago to evict all of the existing 300 squats as soon as possible, people were very surprised and angry at the events. The next day the main prosecutor for squatting cases Otto van der Bijl and the chief of the special eviction unit Leen Schaap got threatened and are now under 24 hours police protection. As an answer to the new eviction policy 800 squatters and sympathisers demonstrated on the first of October in Amsterdam. Out of the demo a house got squatted and the group remained for a while to support and celebrate this first so called "illegal squatting action". After a while the demo proceeded towards the endpoint. After a few hundred meters the people involved got violently attacked by the cops on foot and on horse-back, who tried to first enter the demo from the front, but found themselves successfully fought back. Only when the cops stormed the mass on horses from the back the group separated. This didn't stop the squatters from fighting back and taking over the streets, which resulted in riots for several hours in the Amsterdam inner city. For the first time in a decade cops tried to stop the riot by throwing teargas grenades into the demonstration. In total 11 people got arrested, some cops and people got hurt and some demonstrators were hospitalised of which one person with two cracks in the skull. The hospital and the individual are suing the cops for attempted manslaughter. All arrestees are free. The following day another demonstration against the squatting ban took place in Nijmegen with about 600 people. Also here it came to a violent confrontation with the police. Police on horses trampled on the demonstrators and people got seriously hurt. 9 people were held in prison until recently. All arrestees are free again. In the following days a police station in Amsterdam got attacked with Molotov cocktails. The act has not been claimed by any individual or group. Since Friday riot cops, special military police, water canons and helicopters have been in high concentrations throughout Amsterdam. The strategy of the city of Amsterdam seems to be keeping all the squatters in a constant state of emergency, which leads to a rising tension in the city, which the police are not used dealing with. People are expecting the first eviction wave to be soon. The mayor stated that he finds the situation very unpleasant and plans to charge the damages to the squatters, though he does not believe that there is much to get from them. Yes ! We know all that bad things about the authority, we agree about that governments are corrupt and politicians are lying. We are anarchists like many of You but we see that things are not always black and white and life it's often art off compromise. We are glad that Tamira from ecologic and social related party GroenLinks it's supporting us and for that we will also support her. To be more efficient in our struggle for affordable houses we have to be more open for society what means accepting sometimes other ways of thinking and other ways towards common goal. We have be more focus on that's what is uniting us not on that what is dividing us. As a squatters movement, being on the first line of the anti capitalistic struggle we should give example of unity towards victory. This example, us, society needs more than ever. We living in the times of economic and ecologic crisis where here in Netherlands many people seems to be blinded by right wing capitalists propaganda.First refugees and migrants without papers, now squatters which minority going to be next ? (You alone ? Or We together ?) We should show to all society that we are with them and we are fighting not just for roof above our heads but also for better life for all of us. In any possible way. That's why we should also massively join the demo "Rekening Retour" in 23 October. ...
To continue about campaign: I heard that's in the past after any riots etc. we spread thousands of neighborhood letters. Shall we not do the same ? Shall we not spread them to all our neighbors who very often don't know what is going on and that's why some of them are keeping asking ( i had so many discussions and most off them in this sort way of thinking "What's going to happen if You can not squat anymore?")

Ik ben een geboren Amsterdammer, net als mijn dochter, vader en opa. Mijn moeder is (zoals zoveel Amsterdammers) migrant. Ik heb bijna mijn hele leven in Amsterdam gewoond. In vrijwel alle windstreken; Zuid, West, Centrum en Oost. Daarnaast heb ik in totaal twee jaar in Brazilië gewoond. De laatste keer om onderzoek te doen voor mijn research master sociale geschiedenis.
Sinds mijn veertiende ben ik politiek actief. Zo vergaderde ik namens de scholierenbond LAKS met de minister van onderwijs, hing ik in een boomhut in Groenoord en was ik jongste gemeenteraadskandidaat voor Amsterdam Anders/de Groenen. Als student was ik woordvoerder en organisator van verschillende grote studentendemonstraties en vroeg ik aandacht voor jongerenhuisvesting in Amsterdam, onder meer als oprichter van het Studenten Kraakspreekuur.
Momenteel werk ik bij het Wijksteunpunt Wonen waar ik bewoners activeer en adviseer op het gebied van huurrecht en stadsvernieuwing. Mijn favoriete plek in Amsterdam is de pas gekraakte Galerie Schijnheilig op de Passeerdersgracht 23. Een van de zwervende culturele initiatieven waar ik al jaren met veel plezier bij betrokken ben.
GroenLinks, de groene partij die vrijheid eerlijk wil delen, verdient zo breed mogelijke steun en moet zo groot mogelijk worden! Daaraan wil ik bijdragen. Mijn doel is ruimte creëren voor eigenzinnigheid, voor initiatieven van bewoners, voor verandering van onderaf. GroenLinks moet zelf ook initiatief tonen: dingen bereik je soms door te besturen, maar ook door actie binnen en vooral buiten de raad. Ik heb zin in een klimaatneutrale stad die (woon)ruimte en vrijheid waarborgt voor iedereen!

Tijdslijn: 18:45 - Om 20:00 uur zal er een lawaaidemo zijn. Voorverzamelen bij het Centraal Station, stadszijde. 18:40 - De politie heeft minstens 10 mensen gearresteerd. 18:30 - Er staat inmiddels een filmpje met interview online. 18:20 - De stad lijkt tot rust te komen. Er komen berichten van agenten die sloegen met fietsen. 18:11 - Een arrestant van vanmorgen is inmiddels vrijgekomen. Ook komen er nog steeds meldingen van arrestaties binnen. 18:05 - Het station lijkt vrij gegeven door de politie, de situatie kalmeert weer. 17:50 - Er worden nog steeds mensen gearresteerd. fotofoto2.. 17:44 - Op Nijmegen CS zijn 19 mensen ingesloten door de politie.Foto 17:42 - 5 stillen hebben een voorbijganger in elkaar geslagen. 17:41 - De politie sluit de weg naar het station af (foto).. Iedereen is aan het rennen. 17:40 - Bij het station is minstens 1 persoon gearresteerd.Foto 17:32 - Een groep van ongeveer 100 man gaat richting station (of politiebureau). 17:30 - Stillen en ME vegen het park leeg. 17:27 - Er schijnen gewonden te zijn en de politie dreigt met traangas. 17:24 - Er worden nu veel mensen opgepakt, door stillen.
